ANGELIKI GIANNAKOPOULOS (Story By/Producer/Writer) In 1994 Angeliki established Artemis Productions and the Greek-American Theater Company of Los Angeles. She went on to produce and direct more than 15 productions including “Ten Stabs for Ten Bullets” at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, “The Marriage” at the Gascon Theater (winner of 7 Drama-Log Awards, including Best Direction), “Illya Darling” at the Skylight Theater and the 24th Street Theater (winner of 3 Drama-Log Awards), “Antigone” and “Gregory” at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, among others. Mrs. Giannakopoulos’ latest project, an award-winning documentary My Child- Mothers of War, introduced by Susan Sarandon, which aired on PBS, was then adapted into a stage show and premiered at the Hudson Theatre in Los Angeles. Giannakopoulos served as an Associate Producer producing Promos for the NBCUniversal primetime series “Friends,” “Frasier,” “Will and Grace,” “The West Wing” and “Law and Order” and worked for six years as Associate Producer for Pelorous Pictures. Angeliki produced the documentary “Age of Elegance,” which premiered at CINEQUEST 2001 and her film “A Greek Woman” was an official participant at CINEQUEST 2003 where it screened to a sold-out audience and was also featured at the ARPA International Film Festival 2003, New York Greek Cultural Center Indie Film Festival and the New Orleans Media Experience 2003. Giannakopoulos began her career as an actress; personally trained by Milton Katselas and Susan Strasberg. In addition, she is the Co-Founder of the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival, Director of Development of the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, and is in development of a feature film, “Ruthless”, to be directed by Phedon Papamichael, written by Cooper Layne and co-produced by Casey Cannon. She is currently completing her short film, A Beautiful Day”, for which she created the story and co-wrote with Casey Cannon, directed by Phedon Papamichael and starring James Brolin and Francis Fisher.
